Boyd Billman is the Criminal Sexual Conduct Investigator for the Fond du Lac Tribal Police Department. He previously worked in Special Assignment as the Victim Services Officer for Fond du Lac Tribal Police , where he collaborated with victim services, social services, and other criminal justice professionals to render the best services to victim-survivors. He has developed specialized knowledge and experience in investigating gender‑based crimes and has received advanced training in victim‑survivor advocacy. Investigator Billman works to bridge the gap between victim‑survivors and their interactions with law enforcement, facilitating referrals to advocacy services, and conducting thorough investigations to support healing, recovery, and promote justice. He conducts his investigations within the Fond du Lac Reservation and partners with area agencies to encourage multi-agency collaborations.
He has provided ongoing training opportunities to area law enforcement agencies through his previous role as Victim Services Officer. Investigator Billman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Sociology from the University of Minnesota Duluth and completed his law‑enforcement training at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College. He is committed to community‑oriented policing, public safety, and victim advocacy. In addition to his law enforcement duties, Investigator Billman serves the community as a Firefighter and EMT with the Cloquet Area Fire District.
