A dedicated advocate for Tribal children and families, Kimee Wind-Hummingbird, MSW, brings over two decades of experience to NNCTC. A citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation with Cherokee descendancy, she has worked extensively in child and family programs, ensuring the well-being of youth in her Tribal communities.
With deep expertise in the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and a strong background in training and consultation, Kimee has collaborated with judges, attorneys, state and Tribal child welfare agencies, and service providers. At NNCTC, she leads and supports projects focused on Tribal child welfare and child advocacy, ensuring culturally responsive and impactful support for Native communities.
