Akisa Red Soldier
Overview
Participants will learn about Dakota language, kinship, families, and communities to improve work with families. Akisa Peters Red Soldier is a fluent language speaker and teacher who explains the importance of connection to culture when working with Native families. This session will provide a deeper understanding to MIFPA's placement preferences by explaining creating and sustaining connections for clients. Connections to language, culture and community lead to individual wellness.
